Phillip Beck
Phillip E. Beck has been a car guy virtually as long as he can remember. For years, it was destined that this bright young man from New Mexico would have his hand somewhere in world of motorsports. Early in his high school days after moving to Hastings Nebraska, Phill took a job as an independent garage hand after school learning mechanical work, and the ins and outs of all brands of autos, large commercial trucks and boat engines. Phill soon came to find out the shop also sponsored and built stock cars, which Phill found he had a true affinity for. He had always liked going fast and going to the extreme and this was his ticket!
It wasn’t long before Phill worked his way into the high performance race car end of the shop and this is where the dream of having his own High Performance Custom shop all began. All of his hard work was paying off. His involvement in the stock cars and super modified racers lead the company to ask Phill to help work on their Sprint cars. After a successful year of hard work, Phill was asked to join the team full-time. A later opportunity that year arose to race for the team and Phill took it! He was enthralled with the speed and team aspect. This would lead to a successful but short lived racing career. For the rest of his twenty’s, Phill went on to be on the race team for a major car owner. With his passion for racing this soon lead him to own his first of many hot rods, with a custom street rod soon to follow. He was hooked!
For the last 35 years, Phill has always had some type of high performance car or truck sitting pretty in his garage just waiting to be revved up and hit the streets!
In 2002, with multiple ventures and his other business’s running on full throttle, Phill decided to fulfill his childhood dream and founded Auto Art Studio in Prescott, Arizona. This new company would bring together three extremely talented friends that were hard working experts in their individual fields of custom work. Their knowledge of cars was, and has continued to be unsurpassed. This group of guys then set out to develop themselves as a team that does true customization and builds cars and hot rods to the level of quality not seen in the area before. As it turns out, they have been the talk of the town every since! They were truly Artists of their craft and thus Auto Art Studio came alive!
Today Auto Art Studio is a premier custom street rod, and high performance motorsport shop! With the guidance and management of the new Beck Custom Motorsports Brand, Phill and the guys are constantly producing beautiful customs of all kinds and amazingly high performance cars for clients all over the United States and Canada. With the “New” branding of BCM, and all the new ideas and talent in the shop, 2011 should be their biggest and best year yet!
